This is the core of Ittefaq. No one browses an unverified profile — ever.
Government-issued ID plus a live selfie match, confirming you are who you say you are. Typical turnaround: same day.
Doctors: NPI validation (US) or provincial college registry check (Canada), plus license standing.
Lawyers: state bar or provincial law society verification. Typical turnaround: 1–3 business days.
A short set of questions on marriage timeline, family involvement, and relocation openness. Typical turnaround: immediate.
1. Submit. Upload your government ID and take a live selfie. Submit your NPI/license number or bar number.
2. Automated check. We run an automated match against public licensing registries where available (NPI registry, several state bar lookup tools).
3. Manual review. A human reviewer confirms anything the automated check can't resolve — this covers most Canadian provincial checks, which don't yet have public APIs.
4. Approval or hold. Once confirmed, your profile goes live. If something doesn't match, we contact you directly rather than rejecting silently.
Profiles that can't be verified — expired licenses, mismatched names, unconfirmed affiliations — are held and the applicant is contacted directly to resolve the discrepancy. They never appear in search in the meantime. If we determine credentials were deliberately falsified, the account is permanently terminated and not eligible for re-application.
